Interconal region
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005931
The space between the inner and outer cones of a flame in atomic spectroscopy, particularly in atomic absorption or emission spectrometry. This region is characterized by high temperatures and a relatively stable environment for atomization of the sample. It is where the analyte atoms are typically present in their free, ground state for absorption measurements.
