Observation space
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008173
The region within a flame or plasma where the analytical signal is measured in atomic spectrometry. It is defined as the zone where the light beam passes through the flame and the net signal remains above half of its peak value. The extent of this space is influenced by factors such as flame temperature, fuel-oxidant ratio, and the aspirated solution.
