Flame atomic spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004467
A family of spectroanalytical techniques that uses a flame to atomize a sample, converting it into free atoms in the gas phase. The interaction of these atoms with light is then measured for qualitative or quantitative analysis. The primary techniques in this family are flame atomic absorption, atomic emission, and atomic fluorescence spectroscopy.
