Dispersion of a sample
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003304
The preparation of a liquid or solid sample, or a portion of it, in a finely divided state such as an aerosol or fine powder so that it can be fed into an atomizer and atomized. Nebulization of a solution and laser ablation of a solid are examples. It is the first step in the sequence that leads on to desolvation, vaporization and atomization.
