Pyrolysis curve
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009706
A plot of the atomic absorbance of an analyte against the pyrolysis (ashing) temperature in electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry, with the atomization temperature held fixed. The signal stays flat until the pyrolysis temperature is high enough to volatilize the analyte, after which it falls. The temperature at the end of the plateau is the highest pyrolysis temperature that can be used without losing analyte.
