Saturator
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010533
A buffer solution carrying the interfering element or elements in an amount large enough that the effect on the analyte signal can grow no further, meaning the flat top of the interference curve, whether the effect is enhancement or depression. When it is added to every sample and standard, the interference stays constant at that plateau value and no longer depends on the interferent concentration in the sample.
