Simulation technique
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010878
A technique for compensating interference errors by preparing reference solutions whose quantitative composition closely matches that of the sample solutions, so the interfering effect is the same in reference and sample. Calibration against such matrix-matched standards cancels the interference, and the approach contrasts with standard addition, in which the standard is added to the sample itself.
