Ion enhancement
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006078
An increase in the observed signal intensity of an analyte ion in mass spectrometry due to the presence of other components in the sample matrix. This effect can lead to overestimation of analyte concentration if not accounted for. It is the opposite of ion suppression and is a type of matrix effect.
