Multiplicative matrix effect

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007673

A type of matrix effect where the analytical signal from a component is altered by other components in the sample matrix in a proportional manner. This means the effect scales with the concentration of the analyte. Such effects can be compensated for by methods like standard addition or internal standardization.
