Diamond by CVD
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003128
Diamond material synthesized using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques. In this process, carbon-containing gases are decomposed at high temperatures and low pressures, allowing carbon atoms to deposit onto a substrate and form diamond crystals. CVD diamond can be produced as thin films or freestanding plates with properties similar to natural diamond.
