Mesh size
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007204
The average distance between cross-links or entanglements in a polymer network or gel, which dictates the size of the pores or openings within the material. This parameter influences the diffusion of molecules through the network and the mechanical properties of the polymer. It is often estimated from swelling experiments or rheological measurements.
