Non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008001
A variation of capillary electrophoresis where the separation is performed in a background electrolyte prepared with an organic solvent or a mixture of organic solvents instead of water. This approach is applied to analytes that have poor solubility or stability in aqueous solutions. Common solvents used include methanol, acetonitrile, and formamide.
