Cross-over concentration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002724
The polymer concentration at which polymer coils in solution begin to overlap and entangle with each other, marking a transition from dilute to semi-dilute solution behavior. Below this concentration, individual polymer chains behave largely independently, while above it, their interactions become dominant. This concentration is inversely proportional to the intrinsic viscosity of the polymer.
