Reduced viscosity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010052

The ratio of the specific viscosity of a polymer solution to the mass concentration of the polymer. It provides a measure of the polymer's contribution to the solution's viscosity, normalized by its concentration. This value is used in dilute solution viscometry to determine the intrinsic viscosity by extrapolation to zero concentration.
