Inherent viscosity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005843

A measure of a polymer's ability to increase the viscosity of a solvent, calculated as the natural logarithm of the relative viscosity divided by the concentration of the polymer. This value provides an indication of the polymer's molecular weight. It is typically expressed in units of deciliters per gram.
