Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005844

Describing a substance that possesses the structural characteristics enabling it to be completely degraded by microorganisms under appropriate environmental conditions. This property indicates a high potential for biodegradation, although it does not guarantee rapid or complete degradation in all natural settings. It is often assessed by specific laboratory tests.
