Dynamic viscosity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003510
A measure of a fluid's resistance to shear flow, representing the internal friction between adjacent layers of fluid moving at different velocities. It is defined as the ratio of shear stress to the shear rate. The SI unit for dynamic viscosity is the pascal-second (Pa·s), also known as the poiseuille.
