Dynamic viscosity
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005212
A measure of a fluid's resistance to shear flow, representing the internal friction between adjacent layers of fluid moving at different velocities. It quantifies how easily a fluid deforms under stress. The SI unit for dynamic viscosity is the pascal-second (Pa·s), or the poise in the CGS system.
