Kinematic viscosity
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006783
The ratio of a fluid's dynamic viscosity to its density, representing the fluid's resistance to flow under the influence of gravity. It quantifies the rate at which momentum is diffused through a fluid. The SI unit for kinematic viscosity is square meters per second (m²/s), although the stokes (cm²/s) is also used.
