Kinematic flux
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006782
The rate of transport of a scalar quantity per unit area, expressed in units of velocity times the scalar quantity. It represents the product of a velocity component and a scalar, such as temperature or humidity. For example, kinematic heat flux is often used in boundary layer meteorology to describe heat transfer.
