Kinematic boundary condition
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006781
A mathematical constraint applied at the interface between two fluid domains or between a fluid and a solid surface, stating that there is no flow of fluid across the boundary. This condition implies that the normal component of the fluid velocity must be zero at a solid boundary, or continuous across a fluid interface. It is often used in atmospheric models to represent the interaction of air with the Earth's surface or with cloud boundaries.
