Equiscalar surface
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005450
A surface on which a scalar quantity, such as temperature, pressure, or humidity, has a constant value. These surfaces are often used in atmospheric analysis to visualize the distribution of scalar fields. For example, an isotherm is an equiscalar surface of temperature, and an isobar is an equiscalar surface of pressure.
