Isotimic line
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010574
A line on a meteorological chart or diagram that connects points of equal value for a specific atmospheric property. These lines are used to visualize the spatial distribution of a variable, such as specific humidity, potential temperature, or pressure. Unlike an isobar (equal pressure) or isotherm (equal temperature), an isotimic line can represent a wider variety of scalar fields.
