Isotimic surface
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006727
A three-dimensional surface within the atmosphere where all points share the same value of a specific meteorological variable. For instance, an isobaric surface connects points of equal pressure. These surfaces are used in atmospheric modeling and analysis to represent the spatial distribution of atmospheric properties.
