Dynamic flux
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005202
A measure of the rate of transfer of a quantity per unit area per unit time, expressed in units that include mass or energy. This contrasts with kinematic flux, which is the dynamic flux divided by the density of the fluid. Examples include heat flux in watts per square meter (W m⁻²) or momentum flux in kilograms per square meter per second (kg m⁻² s⁻¹).
