Solar flux
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009030
The rate at which solar electromagnetic radiation is received per unit area at a given distance from the Sun. This measurement is often expressed in watts per square meter (W/m) or solar flux units (SFU). It is a key parameter for understanding Earth's energy balance and atmospheric processes.
