Flux density
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005658
The amount of a physical quantity, such as energy, mass, or momentum, passing through a unit area per unit time. It is a measure of the intensity of a flux. For electromagnetic radiation, it is often expressed in watts per square meter (W/m²), indicating the power incident on or emitted from a surface.
