Flux emissivity
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005659
A measure of the efficiency with which a surface emits thermal radiation, defined as the ratio of the radiant flux emitted by a real surface to the radiant flux emitted by a perfect blackbody at the same temperature. It is a dimensionless quantity ranging from 0 to 1. Different surfaces, like snow, vegetation, or bare soil, have varying flux emissivities.
