Transmissivity

The ability of a medium to transmit radiation, defined as the ratio of the transmitted radiant flux to the incident radiant flux. In atmospheric science, it quantifies how much solar or terrestrial radiation passes through a layer of the atmosphere, a cloud, or a body of water. It is a dimensionless quantity, often expressed as a percentage.
