Radiant flux

The total amount of radiant energy emitted, transmitted, or received per unit time. It quantifies the rate of flow of electromagnetic radiation and is a fundamental measure in atmospheric energy budget calculations, encompassing both solar and terrestrial radiation. Radiant flux is measured in watts (W), which is equivalent to joules per second.
