Spectral irradiance
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009103
The radiant flux incident on a surface per unit area, per unit wavelength or frequency interval. It describes the power of electromagnetic radiation received at a given point, distributed across the spectrum. This quantity is measured in units such as watts per square meter per nanometer (W m⁻² nm⁻¹) or watts per square meter per hertz (W m⁻² Hz⁻¹).
