Spectral interval

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009102

A defined range of wavelengths or frequencies within the electromagnetic spectrum. In meteorology, instruments often measure radiation within specific spectral intervals to isolate the contributions of different atmospheric constituents or processes. For example, satellite sensors use specific intervals to observe cloud properties or atmospheric temperature profiles.
