Frequency band
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005779
A continuous range of frequencies within the electromagnetic spectrum. In atmospheric science, specific frequency bands are used for remote sensing applications, such as radar and satellite observations, to detect atmospheric constituents or measure precipitation. Different bands are chosen based on their interaction with atmospheric gases and particles.
