Absorption band
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003200
A range of wavelengths or frequencies within the electromagnetic spectrum where a substance absorbs radiation strongly. These bands correspond to specific energy transitions within the molecules of the absorbing substance.
