Radio frequency band
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008325
A specific range of radio frequencies allocated for particular communication or sensing purposes, as defined by international regulatory bodies. These bands are categorized by wavelength, such as very high frequency (VHF) or ultra high frequency (UHF). Atmospheric attenuation and scattering properties vary significantly across different radio frequency bands.
