Super high frequency, referring to the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum with frequencies between 3 and 30 gigahertz. These waves have wavelengths between 1 and 10 centimeters, making them suitable for radar and satellite communication applications. Weather radar systems often operate within the SHF band.
