SHF

The designation for radio frequencies in the range of 3 to 30 gigahertz (GHz), corresponding to wavelengths between one and ten centimeters. These frequencies are used for radar, satellite communication, wireless local area networks (WLANs), and microwave ovens. SHF signals experience less atmospheric attenuation than EHF but more than UHF.
