Shortwave

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005238

Radio waves with wavelengths shorter than those of medium wave radio, typically referring to frequencies between 3 and 30 MHz. These frequencies are capable of propagating over long distances by reflecting off the ionosphere, a phenomenon known as skywave propagation. Shortwave radio is used for international broadcasting, amateur radio, and military communications.
