Medium Frequency, a range of electromagnetic waves spanning from 300 kilohertz (kHz) to 3 megahertz (MHz). This frequency band is primarily used for AM (Amplitude Modulation) radio broadcasting, maritime and aeronautical navigation beacons, and some amateur radio communications. Signals in the MF band can travel long distances, especially at night, due to skywave propagation.
