Very High Frequency: The portion of the electromagnetic spectrum ranging from 30 megahertz (MHz) to 300 megahertz (MHz). These frequencies are used for FM radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, and two-way radio communication. Signals in this range are less affected by atmospheric noise than lower frequencies.
