Very Low Frequency: The portion of the electromagnetic spectrum ranging from 3 kilohertz (kHz) to 30 kilohertz (kHz). These frequencies are characterized by their ability to penetrate seawater and travel long distances, making them suitable for submarine communication and some specialized navigation systems. VLF signals are often used for time signal broadcasting.
