Supergroup

A grouping of 60 voice channels, formed by combining five basic groups of 12 voice channels each, in a frequency division multiplexing (FDM) system. This aggregation creates a higher-capacity signal for transmission over long-haul communication links. The supergroup occupies a frequency band of 240 kHz, typically from 312 kHz to 552 kHz, in the FDM hierarchy.
