Ultra high frequency

The portion of the electromagnetic spectrum designated by the International Telecommunication Union for radio waves with frequencies between 300 megahertz and 3 gigahertz. These wavelengths, from one meter down to ten centimeters, are suitable for line-of-sight transmission. Applications for ultra high frequency (UHF) signals include television broadcasting, mobile phones, Wi-Fi, and two-way radios.
