Frequency assignment

The process of authorizing the use of a specific radio frequency, or a block of frequencies, to a particular station, service, or geographical area. This allocation is performed by regulatory authorities to prevent interference between different radio transmitters and to manage the electromagnetic spectrum. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) coordinates frequency assignments globally, while national bodies like the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) manage them within a country.
