Time-assignment speech interpolation

A technique used in telecommunications to increase the capacity of a transmission channel by exploiting the pauses in human speech. It assigns a channel to a speaker only when they are actively talking, allowing multiple conversations to share the same physical medium. This method can achieve a channel gain of approximately 2:1 for typical voice traffic.
