Timebase
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006027
The internal circuit in an oscilloscope or other measurement instrument that generates a precisely timed sweep signal, controlling the horizontal deflection of the display. It determines the rate at which the electron beam or display cursor moves across the screen, allowing for the visualization of waveforms over time. The timebase setting is typically expressed in units of time per division, such as microseconds per division.
