High frequency
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-001282
A range of radio frequencies spanning from 3 to 30 megahertz (MHz). These frequencies are capable of long-distance propagation through reflection off the ionosphere, making them useful for global communication. In atmospheric science, high-frequency radar systems are employed for remote sensing of ocean surface conditions and ionospheric disturbances.
