Spectral function

A mathematical function that describes the distribution of a physical quantity, such as energy or intensity, across different wavelengths or frequencies within a spectrum. It provides information about the composition or characteristics of the source emitting or absorbing radiation. For electromagnetic radiation, it often represents the power per unit frequency or wavelength.
