Cross-spectrum
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004776
A mathematical function that describes the frequency-domain relationship between two time series, indicating how the power of each series is distributed across different frequencies and their phase difference. It is the Fourier transform of the cross-correlation function. The cross-spectrum is used to identify common periodicities and lead-lag relationships between atmospheric phenomena.
