Quadrature spectrum
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008234
A component of the cross-spectrum between two time series, representing the covariance of one series with the Hilbert transform of the other. It quantifies the out-of-phase relationship between two signals at different frequencies. In atmospheric science, it is used in spectral analysis to understand phase differences between atmospheric variables, such as temperature and pressure oscillations.
